This is a reminder that we are now just over a week away from the December 1st deadline for all rostered coaches to achieve their required certification for the 2014-15 season. Coaches must complete the required certification before this deadline otherwise they will be considered deficient for the 2015-15 season. To view the certification requirements please use the link below.
For this season the Coach 1 – Intro to Coach and Coach 2 – Coach Level are being run as a combined clinic that covers the course content for both levels. The clinic still follows the same 4.5 hour classroom presentation and 1 hour on-ice session, but now each coach that attends this clinic receives their training in both levels. The hope is that this will solve some of the issues from last season where coaches ended up attending the wrong type of clinic or were confused as to which clinic they should be attending.
All coaches requiring either Coach 1 – Intro to Coach or Coach 2 – Coach Level must sign up for a Coach 2 – Coach Level clinic on eHockey. Hockey Manitoba will add the Coach 1 – Intro to Coach qualification to all attending coaches HCR profiles within two weeks of attending the clinic.

For the 2014-15 hockey season head coaches for all Atom, Peewee and Bantam male teams are required to attend a checking development clinic. These clinics have been offered in each region across the province from the middle of October until the end of November and for the 2014-15 season Hockey Manitoba has made these clinics free to attend. We ask that only head coaches attend the clinics as there are not enough clinics to accommodate all bench staff. Registration for these clinics is open but spaces are very limited at this point in the year. To begin your requirements for a checking clinic please click below
