Pursuant to the Hockey Manitoba constitution, the Board of Directors of Hockey Manitoba will be considering additions, deletions, and/or amendments to the Constitution, By Laws and Regulations at the upcoming 2012 Annual General Meeting. Motions with respect to the preceding must be submitted on the applicable form and received at the Hockey Manitoba office no later than February 27, 2012. Please include only one notice of motion per form and it would be appreciated if forms could be emailed to our office at scott@hockeymanitoba.ca to avoid re-typing. It should be noted that any motions submitted late will require a 2/3 majority vote of the Board of Directors eligible to vote as indicated in By Law 13 of the Hockey Manitoba handbook.

Please note all representative delegates (not including Board of Directors) should complete the Representative Delegate registration form and return it to the Hockey Manitoba office via fax or email no later than March 13, 2012. The Notice of Motion packages will be distributed to the Board of Directors and all registered delegates on March 13, 2012. Copies of the Agendas and Reports booklet will be distributed closer to the meeting date.

Please note plenary voting and delegate guidelines as indicated in By Law 7, page 40 of the handbook:

i) All voting delegates on the Board of Directors (under By-Law 5, 500. A.) must be present at the Sunday morning plenary session to receive a voting card. Voting by proxy is prohibited. Should a vacancy occur in any Director's position, representatives must be named in accordance with I. ii).

ii) All remaining voting representatives must register (with appropriate credentials) at least 45 days in advance of the meeting and be named through their respective congress, council, chair or region on or before 5:00 pm the Saturday of the Annual General meeting. Said representatives not registered within the 45 day period must present the proper credentials and sign in by the 5:00 pm deadline.

Please note Council voting privileges are determined as indicated in By Law 5 of the handbook.

Nominations for Hockey Manitoba Executive Committee positions will be accepted as indicated under By Law 4 of the handbook. Nominations must be submitted on the appropriate form by March 28, 2012. Please note: Incumbents must submit nomination forms by March 13, 2012.

Scholarship applications, Grassroots Coaching Award nominations and Volunteer of the Year nomination forms must be submitted by March 1, 2012.
