12 Manitobans set to Battle in 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs

WINNIPEG – Hockey Manitoba would like to congratulate and wish good luck to the twelve (12) Manitobans who are currently on NHL Playoff rosters heading into Wednesday’s opening night of the 2019 NHL Playoffs.  Alexander Steen (St. Louis Blues; Winnipeg, MB) and Ryan Reaves (Vegas Golden Knights; Winnipeg, MB) lead the way with 7 NHL Playoff appearances prior to the 2018-19 season while Cody McLeod (Nashville Predators; Binscarth, MB) and Mark Stone (Vegas Golden Knights; Winnipeg, MB) are next with 4 NHL Playoff appearances.  Jordan Martinook (Carolina Hurricanes; Brandon, MB) will be making his first NHL Playoff appearance since starting in the NHL during the 2014-15 season.

Hockey Manitoba would also like to wish the Winnipeg Jets all the best throughout the 2019 NHL Playoffs. The Jets finished the 2018-19 season with a 47-30-5 record for 99 points which saw them tied with eventual first round match up St. Louis Blues for 2nd in the Central Division with 99 points. The Winnipeg Jets would hold home-ice advantage by winning the tie break (head-to-head) between the two teams.
