2007 CANADA WINTER GAMES MALE AND FEMALE TEAM NAMED

Hockey Manitoba is proud to announce the team members for both the Female Under 18 Team and Male Under 17 Team who will be representing Manitoba at the 2007 Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, Yukon from Feburary 25 to March 10, 2007.

Team Manitoba (Female) will be represented in goal by the tandem of Delayne Brian and Lana Steck. On defence, Saleah Morrison and Sam Wauer return from last year’s squad that captured fourth at the National Women’s under-18 Championships in Salmon Arm, B.C. They will be joined by newcomers Samantha Frost, Rebecca Hewett, Kristi-Lyn Pollock and Andi Wilgosh.

Up front, last year’s holdovers Cindy Lukianchuk and Addie Miles will be joined by Bailey Bram, Breann Frykas, Chelsea Illchuk, Chelsea Karpenko, Kylie Klassen, Jenelle Kohanchuk, Courtney Lagasse, Nellie Minshull, Kyleigh Palmer and Katie Wilson.

The team will be lead by Head Coach Peter Woods, who will be assisted by Laura Solbergand Lainie Wintrup.

Team Manitoba (Male) will be represented by: Braeden Adamyk, Kyle Birch, Travis Bobbee, Mark Friesen, Travis Hamonic, Dale Hunt, Colan Jackson, Sanfred King, Scott Macaulay, Eric Mestery, Jordan Mistlebacher, Cory More, Colin Phaneuf, Colby Robak, Tyler Schmidt, Michael Stone, David Toews, Paul Vandevelde, Steph Vigier and Shane Wiebe.

The team will be lead by Head Coach Paul Krueger, who will be assisted by Kevin Benson and Billy Keane.
