Chris Wood to officiate at Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup

Chris Wood has been nominated by Hockey Manitoba to officiate at the 2011 Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup in Moose Jaw, SK. This premiere development & showcase event will take place October 27-30th and will see the top prospects born in 1996. The event not only serves the athleets involved but as well the up and coming officials from the four western Hockey Canada branches.

Wood has been an official since 2004 and currently holds a Level 3 certificaton. Chris has officiated in Hockey Manitoba development events such as the Program of Excellence Spring Tournament, Program of Excellence Summer Camp, and Director's Cup. Throughout the season Chris often works games in leagues such as Manitoba Midget AAA, City (WPG) Midget AAA, High School and also currently serves as Referee-In-Chief for South Winnipeg Minor Hockey Association.
