Female Atom Hockey Festival – Dec 27th at MTS Centre

Hockey Manitoba, in conjunction with the Manitoba Moose, Canad Inns and Awards & More is excited to announce that a Female Atom Hockey Festival will once again be held on Saturday, December 27th at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg. We would like to invite all registered female members aged 9-10 to register on-line for a chance to participate in this exciting event!

We are extremely happy to announce that 2007 World Women’s Hockey Champions and proud Manitobans Sami-Jo Small and Delaney Collins will be in attendance throughout the day in addition to some of Manitoba’s top female hockey players involved with Hockey Canada’s U-18 and U-22 programs!

120 players will be selected randomly from across the province and placed on a team to participate in a day of hockey activities and fun. Some of the details of the event for each participant include:

  • No entry fees
  • Skate with Sami-Jo, Jennifer and other U-18/U-22 National team athletes during an on-ice skill development session
  • Play a game with your designated team and participate in team building activities
  • Tour the MTS Centre
  • Receive an autographed Hockey MB Team jersey
  • Receive 2 tickets to the MB Moose game (Minor Hockey Night) on Feb. 28, 2009
  • Receive light breakfast and lunch
  • Receive commemorative team pictures
  • Focus on fun, skill development and a positive hockey experience
  • All skill levels welcomed

All of this at absolutely NO COST!!!

APPLICATION INFORMATION

All Hockey Manitoba registered female members aged 9 & 10 are eligible to enter. Simply visit the Female Atom Hockey Festival page on our website HERE and fill out the on-line application form. Deadline to enter your name is Monday December 1, 2008. Participants chosen will be informed by December 5, 2008 and all information pertaining to schedules for the day etc. will be forwarded by email at that time.
