HOCKEY MANITOBA BANTAM FINAL FOUR PROVINCIALS

Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce the start of the Provincial Final Four Bantam Championship’s beginning March 19th in Brandon, MB. Four Manitoba entries are vying for the opportunity to represent the Branch at the Western Bantam Championship scheduled for Fort Saskatchewan April 1 – 4, 2004. The four Manitoba bantam entries include the AAA Winnipeg Warriors, Brandon Wheat Kings, Morden and Grunthal/Niverville.

The Western Championship’s is the top prize for bantam hockey and is well attended by scouts from all across Canada representing Major Junior, Junior and University programs.

Jack Forsyth, President of Hockey Manitoba expressed his excitement on the eve of the start of the Final Four weekend. Jack exclaimed,

“It is an exciting time of the year and certainly one of the highlights for 13 and 14 year old players. This is an opportunity for the top teams in the province to narrow their focus and earn the right to represent the Province in a major Championship.”
