WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce the launch of a new, refreshed, website which is now live for browsing.  Hockey Manitoba has kept the URL as the previous site, www.hockeymanitoba.ca, but visitors will enjoy a newly designed and organized website. In addition to the launch of the new website, Hockey Manitoba is also excited to promote two new social media accounts to the organization’s network with both Pinterest and Instagram now activated.

The website, which has previously hosted news, member highlights and accomplishments, also continues to outline the exceptional programs that Hockey Manitoba provides for its athletes, coaches, officials, and volunteers. In addition to the updated design and organization of the web content, Hockey Manitoba will unveil enhanced interactive aspects of the website in the coming months such as online registration and payment forms integrated directly within the website, a Minor Hockey Association directory with all 115+ associations listed, an online Hockey Manitoba Shop, the Hockey Manitoba Player Zone, and more.  An integrated social media feature with Twitter, Facebook and Instagram can be viewed on the home page of the site which further allows visitors to keep connected with events as they are happening.

This update is another aspect of the continued enhancement of programming and services to the Hockey Manitoba membership which now nears the 40,000 mark.  In 2012-13 Hockey Manitoba saw a registered total of 36, 127 participants (players, coaches, officials) plus an estimated 3,600 volunteers.  With the growing frequency of events, player & coach development programs, membership services, and recruitment & retention programming the refreshed online presence is a part of Hockey Manitoba’s ongoing effort to enhance the quality and accessibility of information to the public & members.
