HOCKEY MB OFFICIAL HEADING TO U-17 DEVELOPMENT CAMP

WINNIPEG, MB – Brett Thiessen has been selected by Hockey Canada as a linesman to attend the Under-17 Summer Select Camp as part of the National Teams’ Summer Showcase in Calgary, AB from July 26th – August 2nd, 2016.

In its second summer, the National Teams’ Summer Showcase will bring together Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team selection camp (44 players) and Canada’s national under-17 development camp (111 players) in Calgary, at the Markin MacPhail Centre from July 26-Aug. 2.
Brett Thiessen

Brett Thiessen, Interlake – A level IV official, Brett has experience lining in the MJHL, MMJHL and reffing in the KJHL, Senior and Prov. Midget AAA leagues. He is a HCOP Instructor and is actively involved in the mentorship program in the Interlake region. In October 2013, Brett was selected to represent Hockey Manitoba at the Western U16 Challenge, where he lined the Bronze Medal game. In April 2013, he was selected to line at the Western Canadian Junior B Championship – Keystone Cup. Brett attended the Western Officials’ Program of Excellence (OPOE) as a Linesman in September 2014 and lined at the 2015 Canada Winter Games in Prince George, BC.
