POE TOP-40 CAMP ROSTERS UPDATED

WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba announces updates to both U-16 and U-18 POE TOP-40 Camp rosters for May 8-11, 2014 in Portage la Prairie. 

Hockey Manitoba will see six players from their U-18 invite list attend the National U-18 Women’s Strength and Conditioning Camp which will be taking place in Hamilton, Ontario May 7-11.  Camp alternates were pre-emptively included within the initial invitations for the U-18 POE TOP-40 Camp to replace the players attending the National camp.  Invited to National Women’s U-18 Camp: Kristen Campbell (G), Christian Higham (F), Melissa Hunt (D), Ryleigh Houston F), Kate Friesen (D), Sheridan Oswald (F).

The U-16 program will also have six players affected in the roster updates.  Three players invited to the camp will be unable to fully participate due to injury; Tyler Campbell (Shoulder), Nick Henry (Back) and Stelio Mattheos (Shoulder) will attend camp but will have limited or no participation during on-ice sessions and fitness testing.  With these injuries three alternates have been invited for another opportunity in the program being; Brendan Arnold (Winnipeg), Vaughn Dupre (Ste. Anne), and Cole Kirkup (Souris).

Both U-16 & U-18 programs will run three practices with each team, along with three inter-squad games and one special teams game all at PCU Centre in Portage la Prairie over May 8-11.
