ADULT HOCKEY – WINNIPEG JETS HOCKEY LEAGUE 2012-13 WINTER SEASON

Team registration for the upcoming 2012-13 WJHL Winter Season at MTS Iceplex is now open and live to all teams. The 2012-13 season will be the 3rd year of adult hockey run out of MTS Iceplex. Initially launched as the Manitoba Moose Hockey League in 2010-11 the league was renamed the Winnipeg Jets Hockey League prior to the 2011-12 Winter Season. During the 2011-12 season the WJHL started rewarding teams for safe play by handing out rewards to teams for playing penalty free games. This process was very well received by teams as it continued into the summer season and will again carry through the upcoming winter season. The WJHL handed out close to 300 penalty free rewards during the 2011-12 season and hope to hand out even more going forward. Among the new highlights for the 2012-13 season will be the 1st ever WJHL Winter All-Star Game & Skills Competition. Details for the All-Star day will be announced at a later date. Also new to the WJHL will be Player and Goalie of the Month Awards.

Penalty Free Game Rewards – Each game that a team goes penalty free they will receive a voucher for appetizers in the Press Box Restaurant & Sports Bar, 1 t-shirt, and 1 entry form for the year end penalty free draw. The prize for the year end penalty free draw is $500.00 off registration for the 2013 Summer Season or 2013-14 Winter Season.

Registration Incentives:

Early Renewal Discount – Teams that played in 2011-12 Winter Season or 2012 Summer Season will receive $100.00 off registration if they renew with a paid deposit by June 15th, 2012

Early Payment – Any team that is paid in full by August 17th, 2012 will receive a $100.00 gift certificate for the Press Box Restaurant & Sports Bar and will receive 3 BONUS entries for the penalty free year end draw of $500.00 off registration for the 2012 Summer Season or 2013-14 Winter Season.

+ $250.00 team bond (refundable at the end of the season)
TEAM DEPOSIT REQUIRED: $1000.00 +GST
TEAM REP MEETING DATE: SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2012
