Hockey Manitoba is pleased to offer a virtual Skating 1A Clinic via Zoom on Wednesday November 4, 2020 (6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.) which will be led by Winnipeg Jets Hockey Development On-Ice Instructor Devin Himpe.

The Skating 1A Clinic is FREE for Hockey Manitoba members and is designed for U7 and U9 coaches. Certified High Performance 1 and Development 1 coaches can earn 3 PD Points for this clinic.

The Initiation / Novice Skating (Skating 1A) clinic was developed right here in Manitoba by our Master Mentor Coach, Bob Caldwell. The clinic was created to help coaches learn how to teach skating to players 8 years old and under in a progressive manner, building from simple skills to more complex. The skills this clinic will focus on include stance, starting and stopping, gliding, edge control, stride, crossovers, backwards skating, pivots and transitions.

You can register for the clinic here.

Please note: Registration for this clinic will be limited to a maximum of 50 participants.
