U-16 Team Manitoba advances to gold medal game

MOOSE JAW – After getting out to a 3-0 lead Team Manitoba had to hold off a relentless attack from Team BC. Team Manitoba was once again out shot with a final tally of 41 – 28 in favour of BC. Team Manitoba continued strong special teams play by killing off six of seven penalties throughout the game which was a pivotal piece of holding on to their lead in the third period. Team Manitoba will face Team Alberta in a true rematch of the 2009 Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup where Alberta won with an extraordinary comeback in the final minutes of the third period.

Team Manitoba will face Team Alberta in the championship game on Sunday, Oct 30th – 3:00 PM (MT).
