U-18 Team Manitoba defeats Team Atlantic to earn bronze

SAGUENAY – Team Manitoba has defeated Team Atlantic to earn a bronze medal at the 2011 National U-18 Women’s Hockey Championship. Team Manitoba dominated the match up against Atlantic by out shooting the opponent 38-11, but a solid goaltending effort from Stefannie Moak kept the final score reasonable with a 3-1 final. The last medal for U-18 Team Manitoba was a bronze in 2008 at Napanee, ON. Team Ontario-Red and Team Quebec face-off in the championship final this afternoon.
