Winnipeg Thrashers headed to the 2011 TELUS Cup in St. John’s

The Winnipeg Thrashers have won theHockey Canada West Regional Championship with a 4-1 win over the Prince Albert Mintos on Sunday afternoon. The Thrashers now advance to theTELUS Cup – National Midget Championship in St. John's, Newfoundland.

The Road to the 2011 TELUS Cup is almost complete. After a week of regional championship action, five of the six spots are now filled for this year's National Midget Championship, which kicks off in just two weeks from Mile One Centre in St. John's, N.L. Only the Quebec Regional remains before all 6 teams are decided.
