Hockey Manitoba recognizes Canad Inns - Your Destination Centres as the Official Partner of the Program of Excellence. The POE is a high performance program that offers elite athletes the opportunity to represent their province and beyond. Hockey Canada, Hockey Manitoba (Branch) and the Hockey Manitoba Regions collaborate to identify players for the Provincial, Regional and National Programs (Team Manitoba, Team West and Team Canada).
U18 Team Manitoba competes in the Hockey Canada National Women's U18 Championships each season with the exception of every fourth season, when teams compete at the Canada Winter Games. The Nationals directly serve as Hockey Canada's last scouting event before finalizing the Women's U18 Team Canada roster.
