Terry Senkbeil
Terry joined our Association when his son Cory started to play hockey in 1997. He started coaching shortly thereafter, and became a coaching favorite among the kids on his teams. His quiet, fair play and positive approach to the game become obvious to his players, coaching peers, game officials and parents.
Terry coached at the Peewee A, Bantam A, Bantam AA and Midget AA levels with Cory. In 2010 he made the move over to female hockey and coached his daughter Kinsley for the next three years at the Midget level. Terry brought along his co-coach Tony Bertone and the two have became fan favorites to their players. Terry has now become a non-parent coach and everyone knows their value.
Hockey Brandon Female Director Myles Hubbard has commented that the female program as very fortunate to have Terry as a coach. “My own daughter played under Terry for three years, he made the game fun and his dedication is second to none.” At the Midget A1 level his patience and understanding was obvious when working with Midget age players during their work, school, other sports and social activity schedules.
Terry’s great attitude with his players instills in them a good work ethic and confidence. It is very apparent that Terry is right at home on the ice and behind the bench. Hockey Brandon is extremely privileged to have Terry as a coach within our association.
