Laura Oswald has been actively involved with Steinbach Minor Hockey since 2008. She has volunteered on various teams as team manager, team treasurer and fundraising coordinator. As a mother of three children, she has always committed her time to various areas within minor hockey and the community.
Laura has been an active member of Steinbach Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) executive for a number of years. She has held a number of positions, such as tournament coordinator and special events planning. During this time she hosted Squirts, Novice and Atom tournaments. Laura has also coordinated the annual Miller Day, a fun event in which all SMHA players participate in home games and fun activities within the arena. She has been actively involved with volunteering at the Peewee AA and Bantam AAA Provincials.
Laura has a special interest in female hockey development and over the years has hosted “Come try Girl’s Hockey Day”. For the past two years she has served as president in SMHA. She is committed to the continued growth and success of the SMHA teams. As president, Laura is involved in many aspects of the SMHA and always goes above and beyond her duties to provide support to the rest of the board and its members.
