Barry has been a member of minor hockey in the Interlake Region for many years. He began his minor playing days in Stonewall in the 1980’s before progressing to senior hockey with the Stonewall Jets in the early 90’s.
Barry and his wife Darlene settled in Stony Mountain, where their son Brendan began participating in Stony Mountain minor hockey. Barry was quick to get involved, volunteering in various positions from coach, to board member, and eventually association president. During this time, he also became an executive member with Interlake Minor Hockey as a director. For the past three seasons, Barry has overseen the Rising Stars program for the Interlake, and has also managed the region’s Director’s Cup program for the last two years.
Like all of us, Barry has a passion for hockey and can often be found attending AAA and junior games. He particularly enjoys the coaching and development aspects of the game and finds it very rewarding to see a player improve and have success. Barry is appreciative of the game and is thankful for the many friendships he has developed through his years of involvement.
