Carole Williams
Carole, who is the Recreation Director in the Town of Souris, has been involved in Minor Hockey in the town of Souris and the Westman South region at numerous levels over the past 20 years. Carole is the mother of 6 children. All six children played hockey from an early age and have continued to play at the minor hockey, AAA Midget, Junior A, ACAC, and CIS levels. Her youngest son, Johnny, has just completed his last season of minor hockey. She is done!!! While she may not have always known exactly where all six kids were each and every day she did her best to get to as many games as she possibly could.
Carole did not sit idly by and just show up at the rink to watch her children play. That is simply not in her nature. She volunteered, at one point, with all six of her children and served as a manager for many years with her four daughters’ teams. She finished her managerial career by serving as the Manager for the Westman Wildcats for 8 consecutive years.
Carole’s volunteerism has touched the lives of 100’s of young ladies in the Westman area. Players and parents alike have nothing but admiration for her dedication to the female game in our region. Without her passion, the Wildcats program would not have experienced the success it has achieved.
She truly exemplifies the true meaning of the word “Volunteerism”.
