2 OFFICIALS TO REPRESENT MANITOBA IN CALGARY

WINNIPEG, MB – Two (2) officials have been chosen to represent Manitoba at the 2016 Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup taking place in Calgary, AB from October 19-23, 2016. The Western Canada U16 Challenge Cup is a four team round-robin tournament featuring top WHL prospects born in 2001 from the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

Ben Croker (Referee), Brandon – 
A level V official, Ben has spent the majority of his 12 years of experience in the MJHL.  Along with being named the Regional Coordinator for the Brandon region, Ben has had some impressive assignments. He has attended WHL referee camp & the Officiating Program of Excellence, officiated in the 2016 MJHL finals, 2015 & 2016 Western Canada Cup and the gold medal game of the 2015 Telus Cup West Regional.

Matt Granger (Linesman), Winnipeg –
 A level III official, Matt has experience lining in Bantam AAA, Provincial & City Midget AAA, Junior B, Senior A and Junior A.  Some of his top assignments include lining MJHL pre-season games, Male Provincial AAA finals, KJHL finals, MSHL finals, MMJHL playoff games and Western Canada Bantam Championships – Gold medal game.
