WINNIPEG, MB – Eight (8) Manitoba-born players, including seven (7) from the Western Hockey League and five (5) U-16 Team MB alumni, had their names called this past weekend at the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.  The 1st round was completed Friday, June 23rd with rounds 2-7 taking place Saturday June 24th all at the United Center in Chicago, IL.  The NHL Entry Draft is held annually after the completion of the NHL Playoffs and brings together the thirty-one (31) teams to select the rights of the best amateur hockey players who meet the draft eligibility requirements.
