AAA Midget All-Stars announced; All-Star game on January 17th
The best the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League has to offer will be on display at the league’s 22nd annual all-star game, presented by the Western Hockey League and Super 8 Motels.
This year’s game, to be played at the Canada Games Sportsplex in Brandon, is scheduled for Sunday, January 17, beginning at 2 p.m. Immediately following the game, the all-star banquet, featuring Manitoba Moose general manager Craig Heisinger as guest speaker, will be held at the Sokol Hall in Brandon.
The Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League is divided into the East and West divisions, coached by Paul Krueger of the Winnipeg Wild and Brad Wells of the Brandon Wheat Kings, the top two teams in their respective divisions.
The East Division will be represented by players from the division-leading Winnipeg Wild, Winnipeg Thrashers, Kenora Thistles, Eastman Selects, Interlake Lightning and Norman Northstars.
The West Division team will be made up of players from the first-place Brandon Wheat Kings, Southwest Cougars, Yellowhead Chiefs, Pembina Valley Hawks, Central Plains Capitals and Parkland Rangers.
