DURHAM SELECTED FOR HOCKEY CANADA OFFICIALS PROGRAM
WINNIPEG, MB – Christine Durham has been selected to attend the inaugural 2014 Hockey Canada Officiating Program–Female Level V Seminar for certifying high performance female officials, from August 19-24 in Calgary, Alberta.
The seminar provides top Level IV female referees with the new information, techniques and procedures available to elite officials from the Hockey Canada Officiating Program’s top instructors and guest presenters. Delegates will also receive feedback and skill comparison through game supervision from National Supervisors while officiating games during the Canada vs. USA exhibition series.
Christine Durham (Winnipeg, MB) has been active as an official in the Hockey Manitoba community, representing Hockey Manitoba at several national events. She refereed the bronze medal game at the U-18 National Women’s U-18 Championship in 2013 and officiated the bronze medal game at the 2014 Scotiabank CIS Women’s Hockey Championship. She has also officiated many Provincial championship games and several CIS playoff series.
