WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba is pleased to release the evaluation rosters to name the final candidates for both U-16 and U-18 Team Manitoba.  The U-16 (Male) Team Manitoba contingent will compete at the Western Canada U-16 Challenge Cup in Calgary, AB held October 31 – November 3 featuring the province’s top 1998 born male players.  Following that event, U-18 (Female) Team Manitoba will compete at the National Women’s U-18 Championships held November 6-10, also held in Calgary, AB.

Both programs will hold final opportunities for evaluation before the rosters are officially decided later this month.  The U-18 evaluation roster will play in a three game exhibition series versus the University of Manitoba Bisons (CIS-Women) this weekend at Max Bell Centre in Winnipeg.  The exhibition series is scheduled as follows; Friday, September 13 – 7:00 PM, Saturday, September 14 – 7:00 PM, and Sunday, September 15 – 2:00 PM.

The U-16 program will continue to scout and observe the remaining candidates throughout September culminating in a last evaluation held Sunday, September 29 when the Team Manitoba evaluation roster will play in an exhibition game versus the Winnipeg Thrashers (Midget AAA).  Game time will be 6:20 PM at MTS Iceplex.
