Hockey Manitoba/ Winnipeg ICE practice jersey fundraising effort
Hockey Manitoba in partnership with the Western Hockey League’s Winnipeg ICE have announced a practice jersey fundraising effort to support our safe return to hockey. Exclusive Winnipeg ICE practice jerseys are available for purchase with 100% of the net proceeds going to support minor hockey in the province.
The jerseys are available for purchase here and can be ordered individually or as part of a team set. The Winnipeg ICE logo is featured on the front crest and Hockey Manitoba logo is on the shoulder. For any team order (minimum 10 jerseys) one of the shoulder patches can be customized with that team or minor hockey association’s logo.
Practice jerseys are $25 plus taxes and for every jersey purchased 50 Below Sports + Entertainment is providing a youth access pass to the MJHL’s Blues or Freeze (value of $50.00) to attend all home games for the team of their choice (Blues or Freeze).
Hockey Manitoba has made grassroots hockey development possible during this unique year by working with the Province of Manitoba, Sport Manitoba and Hockey Canada to implement a comprehensive set of protocols that are administered by Hockey Manitoba staff with the support of countless volunteers. The money raised will help Hockey Manitoba to continue to support safe return to play protocols and support for associations in the province of Manitoba.
“The hockey community comes together when help is needed,” said Matt Cockell President and General Manager of the Winnipeg ICE. “The dedication, leadership, and commitment that Hockey Manitoba has demonstrated during a very difficult time will allow our kids the opportunity to participate in physical activity with teammates, playing a game they love.” Cockell added, “The mental health benefits of physical activity for kids in our community can’t be overstated.”
There will be a wide variety of jersey colours available including black, white, blue, yellow, and more. There will be sizing available to fit youth, intermediate, senior teams, and goalies.
The jerseys will be available to purchase as singles or in team sets. All net proceeds of the jerseys will benefit Hockey Manitoba.
“We appreciate the efforts of the Winnipeg ICE to partner with us for this fundraising effort,” said Peter Woods Executive Director of Hockey Manitoba. “The funds raised will allow us to further support our passionate volunteer coaches, managers, communication officers, officials, and arenas return to play safely and responsibly during these unprecedented times.”
