Hockey Manitoba’s National Coaches Week Contest

by Hockey Manitoba  |  August 21, 2024 3:00 pm

Hockey Manitoba is proud to celebrate the 10th Annual National Coaches Week from September 16, 2024 to September 22, 2024 presented by the Coaching Association of Canada and Territorial Coaching Representatives.

This year, we are introducing the Hockey Manitoba National Coaches Week Contest where we will give members a chance to nominate one of their coaches to have them recognized for the integral role they play in the game.

Has a coach inspired you and helped you believe in yourself? Do you know a coach who has gone above and beyond for their players and community? If so, nominate them to be honoured during National Coaches Week by Hockey Manitoba.

As part of the nomination process, we ask our members to write a short paragraph on why the coach you are nominating has had such a positive impact on their team and community. Winning entries will be posted on Hockey Manitoba’s website and social media platforms during National Coaches Week. Two winning coaches will receive a Hockey Manitoba Apparel package shortly after National Coaches Week.

Here are some other ways you can get involved during National Coaches Week:

  • Download the National Coaches Week Participation Guide which helps you plan your own National Coaches Week events and activities
  • Say #ThanksCoach on social media. Be sure to tag Hockey Manitoba. Follow us on Facebook, X, Instagram and TikTok using #CoachesWeek and #ThanksCoach
  • Organize an event in your community event to say #ThanksCoach, or join one taking place in your Region/Minor Hockey Association

In addition to using the #ThanksCoach hashtag online during National Coaches Week, we encourage all athletes, participants, parents and friends to say ‘Thanks, Coach!’ in real life too!
