JANUARY 2014 VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH
Parkland Minor Hockey and Hockey Manitoba would like to recognize Ann Dandeneau as the January 2014 Volunteer of the Month. Dandeneau has been a part of Dauphin Minor Hockey for four seasons, however, she has had been involved with the sport of hockey within our community for much longer.
Dandeneau is involved at many different levels as a coach in the Initiation and Novice ages as well as with the local Senior Female Team. Ann’s contributions to the hockey community in Dauphin reach outside of the rink as well. As a leader within the coaching community over the past several seasons, Dandeneau, along with the Dauphin Minor Hockey Executive, structured the Initiation program to encourage new, inexperienced people to get involved as certified coaches. This has provided the association with a large pool of knowledge that parents, coaches and players will benefit from as they move through organized hockey.
As a Certified Official and advocate of Female Hockey, Ann can usually be found in discussion with involved parents on how to increase the enjoyment and development of players. Ann is a great resource to other coaches in our association, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be involved with the sport of hockey.
Hockey Manitoba congratulates Ann Dandeneau as its January 2014 Volunteer of the Month.
