Calgary, AB- Nestlé Canada, in partnership with the Western Hockey League, is proud to congratulate the Lac du Bonnet Minor Hockey Association as winners of the $25,000 Delissio Rise Up for Minor Hockey Promotion.

The community of Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, rallied behind their 133-member hockey association, submitting the most UPC cut-outs from Delissio pizza boxes. The $25,000 will be used to benefit the association from a hockey betterment standpoint, including upgrades to their rink. Lisa Thomas, Parent Volunteer, with the Lac du Bonnet Minor Hockey Association, was ecstatic to receive the news.

“I can’t believe we won! This is awesome!” beamed Thomas, who admits their facility is in need of some work. “Minor hockey will be donating the money towards our arena because it needs a lot of work. If there’s no arena there’s no minor hockey. Thanks again Delissio!”

The Delissio Rise Up for Minor Hockey Promotion invited Western Canadian fans to submit UPC cut-outs from Delissio pizza boxes from October 1 to February 29, 2012.

Delissio and the Western Hockey League would also like to congratulate all the monthly prize winners and thank all Minor Hockey Associations for their participation throughout the 2011-12 season.
