LEVEL VI OFFICIAL GAGNON RETIRES FROM HOCKEY
WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba would like to congratulate Brandon native Patrick Gagnon on his retirement from officiating. Gagnon reffed his final game March 2 in a 12-2 Brandon Wheat Kings win over the Saskatoon Blades in the WHL.
A Level VI official, Gagnon has been working in the business since 1999. He has experience in the Manitoba Midget AAA League, Manitoba Junior Hockey League (Junior A), CIS, and the Western Hockey League. Throughout his career Patrick has had the opportunity to ref prestigious games and tournaments such as the Telus Cup (National Midget AAA Championships) where he worked the gold medal game in 2009, the 1st ever Western Canada Cup in Nanaimo, BC in 2013 and the RBC Cup in Portage La Prairie last year. The last 7 years of his career has seen Gagnon in the WHL working Brandon Wheat Kings regular season and playoff games, as well as out of town games in Western Canada.
