MANITOBA SET TO HOST THREE MAJOR EVENTS

WINNIPEG – Hockey Manitoba is proud to be the host branch for three major events coming up this spring.  We encourage members and hockey fans to support each event and take in the extremely exciting and high level hockey across the province.  Tickets remain on sale for all events, please see below for details and applicable links.

TELUS CUP WEST REGIONAL

The 2017 TELUS Cup West Regional will be hosted by the Eastman Selects in Steinbach, MB from March 30 – April 2, 2017. The TELUS Cup Midget West Regional Tournament will see the Northern Ontario representative, the Saskatchewan Midget AAA provincial champion, Manitoba Midget AAA provincial champion & the host, Eastman Selects play for a spot to be the Western representative at the TELUS Cup National Midget Championship from April 24 – 30, 2017 in Prince George, B.C.

KEYSTONE CUP

The 2017 Keystone Cup will be hosted by the Arborg Ice Dawgs in Arborg, MB from April 13 – 15, 2017.  The Keystone Cup is the Junior B ice hockey championship and trophy for Western Canada.  The Championship is the culmination of the Host (Arborg Ice Dawgs) & Junior B league champions in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba & Northwestern Ontario.

ESSO CUP

The 2017 Esso Cup will be hosted by the Pembina Valley Hawks in Morden, MB from April 23 – 29 2017.  The Esso Cup is Canada’s National Female Midget Championship which will feature five regional champions (Atlantic, Ontario, Pacific, Quebec & West) joining the Hawks in a chance to be battle for gold.  The Hawks will look to be the first host team to win the national title and first to win multiple gold medals; Pembina Valley was crowned Esso Cup champion in 2012.
