WINNIPEG, MB – Eight (8) Manitoba-born players, including seven (7) from the Western Hockey League and one (1) from the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, had their names called this past weekend at the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.  The 1st round was completed Friday night, June 22nd with rounds 2-7 taking place Saturday June 23rd all at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX.  The NHL Entry Draft is held annually after the completion of the NHL Playoffs and brings together the thirty-one (31) NHL teams to select the rights of the best amateur hockey players who meet the draft eligibility requirements.
