PEMBINA VALLEY AND WESTMAN FACE OFF IN MFMHL FINALS
The Pembina Valley Hawks, the defending champions of the Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League, will face the Westman Wildcats in a best-of-five series for the Provincial Midget Female AAA title in a rematch of last year’s championship series. The Wildcats defeated the Winnipeg Avros in a 3-1 series to earn the first spot in the finals series while Pembina Valley also won their series 3 games to 1 against the Yellowhead Chiefs. The first game of the finals takes place Friday, March 21 in Morden.
Series schedule:
- Game 1: Fri, Mar 21 – 7:30 p.m. – Morden
- Game 2: Sun, Mar 23 – 2:00 p.m. – Hartney
- Game 3: Wed, Mar 26 – 7:30 p.m. – Morden
- Game 4: Fri, Mar 28 – 7:30 p.m. – Hartney
- Game 5: Sun, Mar 30– 2:00 p.m. – Morden (if necessary)

The winner will move on to Hockey Canada’s West Regional Championship vs. the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Female League champion, where they’ll compete for a spot in the 2014 Esso Cup – National Female Midget Championship in Stoney Creek/Hamilton, Ontario.
