Hockey Manitoba is pleased to offer a virtual Developing Defencemen 1 Instructional Stream Clinic via Zoom on Monday March 29, 2021 (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) which will be led by Andy Zulyniak, Program Coordinator for The RINK Training Centre.

The Developing Defencemen clinic is FREE to all coaches within Manitoba. Certified High Performance 1 and Development 1 coaches will earn 5 PD Points for this clinic.

This clinic is designed to teach coaches how to identify the specific skills that are needed to develop defencemen. This includes individual skills and tactical skills such as skating concepts, breakout basics, regroup, neutral zone play, defensive zone play, transitions and shooting. Coaches will also learn how to implement this specific skill development into their drill designs, practice plans and yearly plan. Coaches that attend this clinic will receive credit on their eHockey profile stating they are trained as a Level 1 Instructor of Developing Defenceman.

You can register for the clinic here.

Please note: Registration for this clinic will be limited to a maximum of 50 participants.

If you have any questions about this clinic, please contact Erikson Solnes, Coordinator, Coaches Development at esolnes@hockeymanitoba.ca.
