RURAL BANTAM AAA PROVINCIALS SET FOR THIS WEEKEND

WINNIPEG, MB – Both the Male and Female Bantam Rural AAA Provincials are set to get underway this weekend, March 11- 13 in Steinbach and Carman respectively.

The Male Bantam Rural AAA Provincials will welcome the top players from the 9 rural AAA teams to Steinbach including the Brandon Wheat Kings, Central Plains Capitals, Eastman Selects, Interlake Lightning, Norman Wolves, Parkland Rangers, Pembina Valley Hawks, southeast Cougars, and Yellowhead Chiefs. The Rural champion will then face off against the Winnipeg Bantam 1 AAA champion in a best of three series to see who will represent Manitoba at the 2016 Western Canadian Bantam Championship March 30 – April 3 in Okotoks, AB.

The Female Bantam Rural AAA Provincials will take place in Carman this year and host the top female players at the Rural Bantam AAA level. The eight teams participating include the Central Plains Capitals, Eastman Selects, Interlake Ice, Norman Wild, Pembina Valley Hawks, Westman Wildcats, and Yellowhead Chiefs. The Female Rural Champions will then face off against the winner of the Winnipeg Female Bantam AA finals in a best of 3 series to crown a Provincial Champion.
