The journey to the 2010 Esso Cup begins tonight in Ste. Anne when the Female Midget AA Provincial Championships kick-off. There will be 13 teams from across the province competing in the provincial tournament February 25-28th, vying for the right to move on to the West Regional Championships versus the Saskatchewan provincial champion. The winner of the West Regional Championship series then moves onto the Esso Cup.

In 2008/09 the Westman Wilcats won the Hockey Manitoba Provincial Championships and then went to eventually win the inaugural Esso Cup – National Female Midget Championship held in Calagry, AB. This year’s Esso Cup will be held April 18-24th in Regina, SK.
