U-18 Team Manitoba wins opener at Mandi Schwarz Challenge

REGINA, SK – Team Manitoba opened the inaugural Mandi Schwarz Challenge with a 3-1 victory over U-18 Team Saskatchewan. Team Manitoba’s roster features twenty-four U-18 female players who are competing for a final roster spot and the privilege to represent the province at the 2011 Canada Winter Games.

The Mandi Schwarz Challenge is an exhibition tournament that features U-18 Team Alberta, U-18 Team Manitoba, University of Alberta, University of Regina, and University of Saskatchewan. Each team will play three games over the weekend at the Co-Operators Centre in Regina.

U-18 Team Manitoba – 3

2nd Period – Houston (Kostenko, Kryzaniak)

3rd Period – Bram (Brykaliuk, Chapman)
