HOCKEY CANADA OFFICIATING PROGRAM – LEVEL II

Hockey University Officiating 1/2 (HU) is an online certification component developed by Hockey Canada for Level I and Level II officials across the country. HU provides quality learning with a standard delivery message, consisting of 12 modules and is designed for the official to complete at his/her convenience. This program is an engaging, interactive online platform that provides the baseline of information that is needed for Level I and prepares the official for the classroom and ice instruction sessions.

HU is a requirement for NEW Level II officials.  Officials advancing from Level I to Level II who have completed the course as a Level I are not required to repeat the course.

Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders

All Level II officials are required to complete the Respect in Sport for Activity Leaders prior to registering for a clinic.  Please note officials who have already completed this certification as a Team Official (coach/manager) are not required to complete the program again. Hockey Canada’s Speak Out Program will not be accepted. Officials who have completed the Respect in Sport Program with another sport partner are asked to follow the final direction under “Returning Users” in the above link.

The four (4) hour classroom session will cover: 3-Man System, In-Game Procedures, Signals and completion of the national exam.  A one (1) hour ice session will directly follow the classroom session.
