Coach Level

COACHES-trained-process

**Coaching clinic’s will be open for registration beginning on September 15th, 2017. All coaches in Winnipeg must contact their Minor Hockey Association for information on how to register for clinics within their area. All rural Manitoba clinics will be posted on the eHockey registration site and be open to the general public.**

IMPORTANT: Before you begin, please ensure that Coach Level is the proper training that qualifies you to coach at your level of hockey.  A complete list of Coaching Requirements can be found HERE that will help determine the training you need.

Coach Level is a multi-step process, and you must complete the following components by December 1st to achieve your training:

1. Hockey University Online: HU – Online Coach 1/2

  • Approx. 4 hours in duration
  • Can be completed in sections
  • $31.00 fee by credit card online

2. Respect In Sport Certification

  • Approx. 3 hours in duration
  • Can be completed in sections
  • No fee

3. In-Person Coach 2 – Coach Level Clinic: Classroom & On-Ice session

  • 4.5 hours in classroom (Including registration time, breaks)
  • 1 hour on-ice
  • No fee

FOLLOW THESE STEPS to obtain your Coach Level training:

STEP 1: Visit eHockey to sign up for and fully complete the Hockey University online component of your Coach Level training: HU – Online Coach 1/2.  You must create an eHockey account and then add yourself as a PARTICIPANT to that account by inputting your information in the “Add a Participant” Section (if no results appear when you search for yourself as a participant please select the option to create a new participant). To log in to your eHockey account, or create a new eHockey account please click HERE.

IMPORTANT: TO PREVENT ANY ISSUES WITH THE HOCKEY UNIVERSITY ONLINE COURSE HOCKEY MANITOBA SUGGESTS USING EITHER MOZILLA FIREFOX OR GOOGLE CHROME WEB BROWSERS TO COMPLETE THE COURSE AS INTERNET EXPLORER HAS DIFFICULTY MANAGING THE COURSE CONTENT

STEP 2: All Coaches must fully complete the Respect in Sport online certification as part of their training.  Click HERE for information about Respect in Sport and how to obtain your certification. Please make sure to select Hockey as one of your associated groups as well as your minor hockey association on the Respect in Sport site to link your RIS to your hockey profile.

IMPORTANT: You must fully complete Hockey University online (HU – Online Coach 1/2) and the Respect in Sport online certification PRIOR to proceeding to STEP 3!

STEP 3: You now have the necessary pre-requisites to register for an In-Person Coach 2 – Coach Level Clinic. To register, please click HERE to sign back in to your eHockey account and select the Coach 2 – Coach Level clinic of your choice.

STEP 4: Finally, to complete your Coach Level training you must attend and complete the In-Person Coach 2 – Coach Level Clinic you registered for in STEP 3.

Please be sure to bring the following to your clinic:

  • Skates
  • Stick
  • Gloves
  • CSA approved helmet

Once you have completed all of these steps you are considered “Trained” at the Coach 2 – Coach level!
