Nolan Gilmour appointed to Hockey Manitoba Board of Directors

Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce and welcome Nolan Gilmour to our Board of Directors. Nolan is replacing the vacant Hockey Manitoba Board of Director position that was created due to the recent resignation of Past President Bert Dow.
Nolan will serve as a Director at Large and has been approved by the Board of Directors in accordance with By-Law 4.400.D which states, “The past President shall remain on the Board of Directors for a one year’s term. The President may extend the Past President’s term or present a Director at Large for the approval by the Board of Directors.”
Nolan Gilmour – Background
Nolan Gilmour has a deep passion for hockey, which spans as long as he can remember, due to his father, Darryl Gilmour, a former professional goaltender originally from Winnipeg. With his father’s career, Nolan was born and raised in the U.S.A., playing his minor youth hockey in Arizona and Oregon, and later switching gears to play collegiate field lacrosse in North Carolina.
With most of his family still based in Winnipeg and spending summers in Manitoba growing up, he moved to Winnipeg in 2017. Since then, Nolan has been active in the local Manitoba sports community. He served as an offensive coach with the Manitoba Blizzard Junior B lacrosse team (2018 – 2019) and volunteered as a goalie coach with the Fort Garry Hockey Association in the past.
Professionally, Nolan is a seasoned commercial insurance broker. He specializes in creating tailored solutions for high-risk industries, helping businesses and organizations protect their assets and navigate complex risks. Nolan partners with business and community leaders to design innovative insurance and risk management strategies to ensure sustainable growth.
Please join Hockey Manitoba in welcoming Nolan as the Director at Large, and a Hockey Manitoba Board of Director effective immediately.
