CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada announced Friday the 49 players that will attend the National Women’s Under-18 Team conditioning camp, scheduled for May 25-29 at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ont. The camp will serve to introduce the athletes to the expectations that Team Canada has in areas such as training and testing, nutrition, physical and mental fitness and other general every-day behaviour.

The camp roster includes seven goaltenders, 15 defencemen and 27 forwards.

Players eligible for Canada’s National Women’s Team (Senior and U22) will be tested throughout the country in regional locations.

“This camp will include some of Canada’s top young women’s players, and we feel it is a great way for them to get to know our program and our expectations,” said Kalli Quinn, Hockey Canada’s director of female national teams. “It’s an exciting way to start our off-ice training season.”

Please note that the camp will be closed to the public, but media are welcome.
