Part-time job opportunity available with Hockey Manitoba for 2011/12

| Hockey Manitoba is seeking a skilled individual to fill the role of Development & Events Assistant for the 2011/12 season.
POSITION: Development & Events Assistant
START DATE: Monday, September 26, 2011
STATUS: Part-time/Casual
TERM: September 2011 to February 2012
HOURS: Will vary week-to-week from 12-25 hours, various weekday & weekend shifts as needed
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Hockey Manitoba staff in the coordination of all coaching and officiating clinics
- Pack clinic manuals, videos, and paperwork and ship packages to clinics throughout Manitoba
- Assist with pre-event coordination & on-site event operations
- Email correspondence, must also have skills working with MS Office programs
- Organize and inventory materials within Hockey Manitoba office
- Input returned information forms into the Hockey Manitoba/Hockey Canada database
- Organize camp materials and equipment for pick-up or shipping
- Support with Team Manitoba (Program of Excellence) coordination tasks
- General administrative assistance and other office duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- The potential candidate must be organized, responsible, and self-motivated
- Must possess strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Bring a strong work ethic and ability to show initiative
- Ability to perform and complete multiple tasks
- Strong computer-use skills are necessary
- Some heavy lifting is required from time-to-time
- Education/experience in events, communications, or customer service is considered an asset
- Experience in hockey and/or recreation is considered an asset
