Hockey Manitoba is now accepting applications for coaching positions within the 2026 Program of Excellence (POE).

The Program of Excellence is built as a progressive high-performance pathway designed to prepare Manitoba athletes for success at the U16, U18, national, and post-secondary levels. Each stage of the pathway is intentionally structured to align with long-term athlete development principles and the standards of elite competition.

For 2026, we are seeking coaches who are passionate about athlete development and committed to building high-performance habits within the following programs:

Girls U16 Program of Excellence:

• Head Coach (2)
• Assistant Coach (4)
• Goalie Coach (1)
• Video Coach (1)

Boys U15 Program of Excellence:

• Head Coach (2)
• Assistant Coach (4)
• Goalie Coach (1)
• Video Coach (1)

Evaluation Camp Bench Coaches

• Boys U16 POE Selection Camp: 8-16 Bench Coaches (April 10-12, 2026)
• Boys U15 POE Performance Preparation Camp: 8-16 Bench Coaches (April 24-26, 2026)
• Girls U16 POE Spring Selection Camp: 8-16 Bench Coaches (April 24-26, 2026)

The Bench Coach position is ideal for coaches:

• Interested in being involved in the Program of Excellence in a smaller leadership capacity.
• Wanting to support athlete evaluation and development.
• Looking to gain experience within the POE structure.
