Hockey Manitoba has launched its new Mission, Vision and Values, a framework to help guide the organization’s governance, strategy, culture, communication and decision-making going forward. The full framework is now live on the Mission, Vision and Values page.

It was developed through a full-day stakeholder workshop with Board members, staff leadership and more than 30 invited representatives from across Manitoba’s hockey community. Staff leadership then reviewed the work, all Hockey Manitoba staff validated it, and the Board gave final approval. The result is intended to be a clear and practical foundation for the future of hockey in Manitoba.

Mission

To lead, connect and support Manitoba’s hockey community in providing safe, welcoming opportunities for everyone to participate, develop and enjoy the game.

Vision

A hockey community where everyone belongs at every stage of life.

Values

• Integrity: Say it. Mean it. Follow through.
• Collaboration: One hockey community.
• Inclusion: Everyone belongs.
• Adaptability: Listen. Learn. Evolve.

For MHAs, leagues, regions, volunteers, coaches, officials and partners, the framework will increasingly show up in Hockey Manitoba’s planning, communications, policies, committee work, member support and service delivery.
