Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce the equipment managers for the Women’s U18 and Boys U16 Team Manitoba staffs, as both teams prepare to represent the province at the 2027 Canada Winter Games.

Women’s U18 Team Manitoba: Ethan Manson

Ethan Manson joins the Women’s U18 staff from the University of Manitoba Bisons Women’s Hockey program, where he serves as equipment manager. He also brings several years of experience in skate sharpening and equipment repair at Lazers Edge Skate & Pro Shop at the Dakota Community Centre, and is fluent in English and French.

“Outside of hockey, I enjoy playing drums and golf. I’m from Winnipeg and I’m really excited to be a part of Team Manitoba and represent the province at the Canada Winter Games.”

Boys U16 Team Manitoba: Mason Medeiros

Mason Medeiros brings experience at the professional and major junior levels. He served as equipment manager for the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL from 2023 to 2025, and spent three seasons as an equipment assistant with the Manitoba Moose of the AHL, including work with Winnipeg Jets development camps, training camps and preseason games. He is currently head equipment manager of the Lundar Falcons of the Capital Region Junior Hockey League.

“I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Education through the University of Winnipeg and Red River College Polytech, majoring in Industrial Arts Teacher Education. I feel this opportunity is a great way to stay involved and work with up-and-coming hockey players competing for Team Manitoba, and I am thrilled to represent Team Manitoba at the 2027 Canada Games.”
