2023 Female U18 POE Top-40 Camp Roster Announced

WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba is pleased to release the roster for the 2023 Female Under-18 Program of Excellence Top-40 Camp which will be held from June 10 – 12, 2023 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

This camp will be the second phase of the Hockey Manitoba Female U18 Program which is designed to provide high performance female players with the opportunity to develop advanced skills as well as an introduction to the concepts needed to play at an elite level. Players from the Program of Excellence go on to play at the U Sport, NCAA and International level.

The Female U18 POE Top-40 Camp will see a total of forty (40) athletes invited, comprised of twenty-four (24) forwards, twelve (12) defenders, and four (4) goaltenders.

The Top-40 Camp will see athletes participating in skill sessions and intra-squad exhibition games designed to provide instructions on skills and concepts directly related to the Female Team Manitoba Principles of Play. All programming throughout the duration of the camp will be led by the Female U18 Coaching staff.

Following the Top-40 Camp, approximately 25 players will be invited to the Female U18 POE Summer Development Camp which will be held in July (exact date TBD) at hockey for all centre in Winnipeg. An exhibition series with the University of Manitoba Bisons women’s hockey team will be held from September 8 – 10, 2023 in Winnipeg at Wayne Fleming Arena. .

The final stage of the 2023 Female U18 POE process will see the team compete at the 2023 National Women’s U18 Championship which is scheduled to take place from November 6 – 12, 2023 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia.

Hockey Manitoba is pleased to recognize CCM Hockey and the Western Hockey League as Official Partners of the Program of Excellence, along with Gatorade as the Official Sport Drink of Hockey Manitoba. The POE is our high performance program that offers developing athletes who are on track to be elite with the opportunity to represent their province while providing a solid development path to the National and International stages.
