4 Manitobans selected in Round 1 of the 2025 WHL Prospects Draft; 39 overall
WINNIPEG, MB – Hockey Manitoba is pleased to recognize the 39 Manitoban players selected in the 2025 Western Hockey League (WHL) Prospects Draft.
In total, 227 players were selected by WHL member Clubs, including 120 forwards, 81 defencemen, and 26 goaltenders.
Alberta led all provinces with 75 players selected, followed by B.C. (51), Manitoba (39), Saskatchewan (35), and Yukon (1). Manitoba’s 39 players selected represents the highest mark for the province dating back to 2006.
