WINNIPEG – Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce the appointment of Savitha Praveen Kumar as the new Coordinator, Business Operations, effective April 10, 2023.

Savitha was born and raised in India (Tamil Nadu province) and moved to Winnipeg in 2019 with her young family. Savitha holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the Krishnasamy College of Engineering & Technology.

Before joining Hockey Manitoba, Savitha worked for Boyd Autobody as an Accounts Payable Analyst as well as working as an Accouting Intern with Sport Manitoba. Savitha recently graduated with honours from the Accounting and Payroll Administrator program at Herzing College, studying a wide range of subjects in-depth such as Accounting Fundamentals, QuickBooks, Sage 50, Database Applications, and Payroll Compliance.

Savitha has over 10 years of extensive office and customer service experience, including working as Copy Editor for Spi Technologies India Private Limited. an e-publishing company, which required her to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

As Coordinator, Business Operations, Savitha will be responsible for financial accounting, and administrative duties relating to Hockey Manitoba business operations, in addition to providing general staff support for various programs and events.
