Hockey Manitoba Board of Directors Announcement

Hockey Manitoba is pleased to announce the appointment of two new members to our Board of Directors for the 2025 – 2026 season.
Megan Gabrielle takes over for Tony Franklin as Vice-President of Hockey Manitoba. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Tony for the time and effort he has committed to the success of our program for the past three decades that he has been associated with the game.
Living in Virden with her family, Megan has been deeply involved in minor hockey for over a decade as a parent, team manager, and dedicated volunteer. She has also been active in organizing local hockey, softball, and baseball leagues. She brings a strong background in financial planning through her work as a Sun Life advisor. Megan is excited to bring her leadership experience and community-first mindset to the board.
Dave Underwood takes over for Kim Paull as Chair of Girls’/Women’s Hockey. Hockey Manitoba would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Kim for her time and commitment to our Board over the last four years.
Dave has been involved with hockey for five decades. Dave was a Hockey Manitoba official for over 25 years. In 2000 he was selected to be Assistant Referee-in-Chief for Hockey Manitoba, in charge of grassroots official development. In 2015, Dave became involved at the regional level with Interlake Minor Hockey first as a U9 convenor then as league scheduler. Recently, he served as Director of Interlake Minor Hockey.
Hockey Manitoba would also like to announce that Daryl Fowler, Chair of Minor – Winnipeg and Kyle Prystupa, Chair of Junior Hockey have been re-elected for two-year terms.
Please Note: New Hockey Manitoba Board of Directors positions took effect on June 1, 2025.
On behalf of the President and staff of Hockey Manitoba, we would like to congratulate our new Board members who were successfully elected to two-year terms as well as welcome back all other members who are returning to the Board for the 2025 – 2026 season.
