Hockey Manitoba is excited to announce the continuation of the Female Coach Development Group for the 2022 – 2023 season. The Female Coach Development Group will be led by six Female Coach Developers and will provide female coaches in Manitoba with support, mentorship, and development throughout the upcoming season.

With the start of the new season right around the corner, Hockey Manitoba is committed to the ongoing support and development of female coaches in our province. As the female game continues to grow in Manitoba the importance of having strong and confident female coaches is becoming increasingly vital to the success of our female athletes. As an organization, we feel that the best way to further the development of our female coaches is with consistent and ongoing mentorship that runs the course of an entire season.

The Female Coach Development Group is open to all female coaches from U7 to U18 who may be new, experienced, or anywhere in between. Coaches who register for the Female Coach Development Group will be able to participate in monthly group calls through Zoom and will received monthly updates that will include information on different coaching topics applicable to certain parts of the season. Registered coaches will also be placed into smaller groups where they will be mentored by one of our Female Coach Developers. Coaches will also be provided with opportunities in the fall to attend certification clinics and specialty clinics with other female coaches hosted by female facilitators.

Monthly Zoom meetings will begin in late October, with the first session being held on Sunday October 30th at 8PM.

There is no fee to join the Female Coach Development Group and registration will be open until October 28th, 2022. All female coaches interested in being a part of the Female Coach Development Group for the 2022-23 season are encouraged to register via the link below:
